PowerPoint is a very popular and useful software program. I learned it many years ago by taking a course at a community college. The class met one time a week and the instructor went through the next assignment in the workbook. Her assistance was very useful when students got stuck. But all the teaching was in the book that also came with a floppy disk.
During that year I was on disability due to a near fatal hit and run accident. I had time to explore the many menu options while in the computer lab. I learned all that the program could do by trail and error.
LERAN BY DOING
Most computer programs are best understood by just attempting to make applications. Then you can consult the Help menu, a book, web site or person when you get stuck.
PowerPoint is especially easy to learn by using it. The set up is very visual and fairly intuitive.
The first section of this blog give you detailed instructions that I used in a start with the assumption that you have had zero experience. This takes you up to an initial plateau of competence.
